May is National Bike Month. Davis County and Layton City are collaborating to encourage the community to ride their bikes often and attend Layton City’s Bike Day event on May 20th, 2017. If you need an incentive, other than the fact that beautiful trails and paved pathways await you, there’s a huge prize package up for grabs if you prove you got out on your bike with photo and enter Play In Davis & Layton City’s Instagram contest!

Instagram Contest Guidelines:

  • Take a photo of you &/or your friends/family riding a bike in Layton, Utah
  • Post your photo on Instagram
  • Tag @PlayInDavis
  • Use #LifesARideInLayton

Celebrate National Bike Month with Layton City! Join Mayor, Bob Stevenson, in a morning bike ride. You can have fun with the family, meet new friends in Layton City and get the perfect photo-op, to enter the Instagram contest. Mayor's morning bike ridee – Adult Bike Ride Loop from Layton Commons Park to Woodward Park 8:30am-9:30am – Youth Bike Decorating Activity & Bike Ride Loop from Layton Commons Park to Bamberger Trail 8:30am-9:30am – Booths, Breakfast & Safety Demos 8am-10am The booths at this event will offer information on Tour of Utah, Davis County trails, bike safety, bike repairs, UDOT’s future plans, health tips and more! Layton City’s Planning will be having an open discussion on future bike projects, so bring your ideas and desired initiatives to them. Food trucks will be offering breakfast.
