Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, and President’s Day is a three-day weekend for many. Celebrate your special someone (the kids, too!) all month long with these February 2021 events and things to do in Davis.
Events
South Davis Sweethearts 5K and 1K

Dress up and get ready to run with your sweetheart, followed by a 1K with the kids. February is Heart Month in more ways than one! Presented by South Davis Races at South Davis Recreation Center in Bountiful.

Legacy Winds Virtual Concert presented by Davis Arts Council

Legacy Winds will perform as part of Davis Arts Council’s Virtual 2021 Chamber Music Mini-Series on YouTube. Join online to watch the performance. The musicians of Legacy Winds will also interact with the audience. This event is free.

BDAC Wildfires in Utah Art, Homes and Land Exhibit

Featuring 18 Utah artists, the works display a variety of perspectives and sensibilities that explore the wildfires in our region: their growing prevalence, the destruction they cause and their connection to climate change. Curated by Alexandra Karl, words by Terry Tempest Williams. Visit website for details

The Great Gatsby Drive-In Show

This super fancy romance set in the Roaring 20’s (the other Roaring 20’s…) is presented by Salty Dinner Theatre. Each night, the audience will choose how they would prefer the story to end. The perfect Valentine’s gift or unique family outing! As per currant Covid restrictions, this will be staged as a drive-in. Expect a full, regular Salty show, but you will watch and eat from the comfort of your car. Dinner sold separately.

OPPA Presents Broadway Love Songs

Can’t find the words to express your love? Let OPPA do it for you! Enjoy Broadway’s greatest love songs with your sweetheart at On Pitch Performing Arts Valentine’s Day concert. Purchase tickets online through OPPA’s website.

Volunteer Open House at Antelope Island

Give back to the landscape you love by volunteering at Antelope Island State Park. Volunteers are needed at Fielding Garr Ranch, the Visitor Center, Gift Shop and Maintenance Department. If you’re interested in joining the Antelope Island Volunteer team, please attend the upcoming open house or contact tackley@utah.gov.

Bald Eagle Sightings

Bald eagles fly to Utah in the winter to find food and escape colder conditions farther north. By the time February arrives, hundreds of eagles are in the state. Look for these majestic creatures along birdwatching hotspots like Antelope Island Causeway, Farmington Bay and at the Eccles Wildlife Center.
