Spanning 4,400 acres of wetland habitat along the eastern shore of the Great Salt Lake, Great Salt Lake Shorelands Preserve is a wonderful place to explore with the family. The wetlands provide nesting and feeding areas for over 250 species of birds and over 4 million feathered visitors each year. A boarded 1.3-mile walkway features several educational exhibits offering lessons about the Great Salt Lake’s birdlife, habitats, and the need to protect this important area.
